|Butterfly Lauraleine Hestia Melyssa Babineaux|
|Occupation||Extreme Gear racer|
Butterfly Lauraleine Hestia Melyssa Babineaux (3229) was a Mobian rabbit well-known for her recent protest to Pokémon slavery. She was born to Lauraleine Babineaux-Thomas and Lord Ringo of Helios, as the younger sister of Dragonfly and the twin of Stinkfly Haughter, whom she knew nothing of for many years.
After her mother and father's presumed death, Butterfly and Dragonfly lived with their grandmother, Lady Haven, at her mansion at Sea Gate in Seaside Hill. Butterfly loved her childhood there, and formed a close bond with her grandmother, who she called "Aunt Haven", since she hated being called "Nanny" or "Grandma". Haven told her granddaughters stories of their ancestors, such as Lady Nevae of Adabat, and were frequently visited by their "Uncle Jonny", who treated them as his own daughters, as his wife and son had died.
Butterfly was born to Lauraleine the Rabbit and her husband, Lord Ringo of Helios, as one of their twin daughters. But because her twin was deformed and an unpleasant shade of green, Ringo locked her away in an orphanage after christening her "Stinkfly", while Butterfly went to live at Sea Gate at Seaside Hill with her elder sister, Dragonfly. It was noted that Butter had inherited both her mother's fur colour and kind personality while Dragonfly inherited her eyes and taste for the colour black.
The two sisters grew close to their grandmother, Lady Haven, Lauraleine's mother, and frequently visited her at Haven Gardens near Sea Gate. Another family member was their uncle, Jonathan the Rabbit, who Butterfly affectionately nicknamed "Uncle Jonny". He lived alone on the outskirts of the town, ever since the deaths of his wife, Hepzibah Limestone, and unborn son, Jerome. His sister, Vanilla, was also visited a lot by the sisters, since they both liked her and her daughter, Cream, who was a little younger than Butterfly. At the age of three, the sisters were given their Chao; Doom for Dragoinfly, and Star for Butterfly. That same year, their father died fighting against Dr. Eggman, and Lauraleine was depressed long after.
Living with Haven
A year after the death of Ringo, Butterfly and Dragonfly were dropped off at their grandmother's at Haven Gardens while Lauraleine visited Never Lake, where she and her husband first met. Unfortunately, the lake flooded after a storm hit, and Lauraleine drowned, leaving Butterfly and her sister to live with Haven. Though they loved and enjoyed their life there, they both missed their parents, though in different ways; Butter became very sensitive and caring, while Dragonfly was rebellious and independant.
Throughout their childhood at Haven Gardens, Butterfly had much fun playing in the flower gardens with Star while Dragonfly would stay in her room practicing martial arts with Doom. Once every year, they would participate in the International Extreme Gear Competitions, which they were reasonably skilled at. The two had built their own custom Extreme Gear, with the help of Uncle Jonny, which they would improve every year. Butterfly' board, named "Coral", was light turquoise-blue and pink in colour, and made of weightless metal. Dragonfly's, on the other hand, was called "Legion", and was black, red and made of heavy metal. Each year, Butterfly would join in to have fun and make friends, while her sister wanted to win, though they never got ranked, except one year when Dragon came seventh.
Butterfly attended the local school, St. Cargill's, as did Dragonfly. She was very popular, and was best friends with Emily Delacroix. She was a highly praised student, and was particularly skilled at English, Personal and Social Education, Physical Education and Art.
