Grand Metropolis is a futuristic city existing near Ocean Palace, Casino City and Little Metropolis, and was, until recently, under the control of Dr. Eggman.

Prior to that, a power company named "HEXAeco" had dominance over the city, once removing the position of Mayor of Grand Metropolis. It was here that Lady Magess the Rabbit lived with her husband, Mayor Halfred, before discovering she was pregnant and moving to Haven Gardens. In the RFU (Rainbow Fanfic Universe), however, Dr. Eggman lost control of the city after Lightning the Hedgehog and his friends stopped it.
