In this mini-series by Manta-bee, Knuckles is among the characters that are captured by Lerich, who tries to make them his slaves, but fails. Although they manage to get away from him, he still pursues them with intent to kill them. He is involved with one of the main target points of the story's controversy, as he seems to be one of the most foul-mouthed characters.

Sonic Chronicles: Wrenched Into Oblivion

Knuckles, aside from the opening credits, is the first character to appear in the story, sitting alongside Shade while they guard the Master Emerald. After a tried-and-failed attempt to figure out what Shade thinks, Knuckles and Shade ended up getting in a heated argument which ends in Shade running off crying and Knuckles stubbornly watching over the Master Emerald. Knuckles is soon encountered by Tails and Amy, who tell him that Sonic has gone missing. Knuckles agrees to go with them, thinking that Shade is secretly watching over the Master Emerald, which is true. Knuckles soon punches a hole in Tails's home's wall to drain the floodwaters after a tidal wave hits; this also causes three annoying surfers who accidentally K.O.'d Tails to get sucked out as well. Knuckles heals Tails, but Tails soon falls asleep after that. Knuckles suggests to Amy that they sleep outside tonight, due to the chaos of Tails's home thanks to the tidal wave. Later that night, Knuckles and Tails have a brief conversation, both of them secretly thinking about the ones they love (i.e. Shade for Knuckles, and someone unknown for Tails), Ratchet (unconscious from a battle against Sai"X), Clank, and Roxas fall out of a portal of light. After a brief misunderstanding, Knuckles heals Ratchet and escorts them to Big's home, since Tails's home was out-of-comission. Knuckles leaves Ratchet at Big and Froggy's home, before Rouge the Bat drops in with a purple Chaos Emerald. Roxas soon finds the red Chaos Emerald in the Mystic Ruins--to Knuckles's dismay, since he doesn't trust the kid yet--until Dr. Eggman attacks in his Egg Shifter. The battle would've been a victory for Eggman had it not been for Ratchet appearing and destroying the Egg Shifter with his RY3NO. As the Egg Shifter tumbled down the cliffside (to where Sonic and Sora would next challenge it), Knuckles goes to Big's home and tries to figure out what was going on. Sonic and Sora soon return, and everyone shares their stories. Knuckles soon realizes that the tidal wave was caused by Angel Island falling into the sea, and he glides over the sea to find out out of worry for Shade. When he arrives, he finds the Master Emerald and Shade gone. Unknown to Knuckles, Dr. Nefarious, his butler Lawrence, Chairman Drek, and Gleeman Vox had stolen the Master Emerald, while Organization XIII had kidnapped Shade to turn her into a Nobody. Knuckles remembers Amy telling him about a girl named Larxene who wanted to see Shade for some reason, and after some thought, he makes the connection that Larxene is part of Organization XIII; this hunch is true. Larxene easily beats down Knuckles, but Marluxia stops her from killing him, as he had another plan in store for someone else. When they left, Chairman Drek arrived next to Knuckles, and he kidnapped him and took him aboard the Air Harbinger. Knuckles was hooked up to a Biobliterator testing machine, and--under the supervision of Dr. Nefarious, Lawrence, Gleeman Vox, Chairman Drek, Metal Sonic, and the recently reconstructed E-102 Gamma--Knuckles was roboticized into Mecha Knuckles, before being given the orders to destroy Station Square as a testing exercise.

Heroes From An Old World

Knuckles is briefly mentioned in a cameo in some of the chapters, the first one being when The Scourge finds an old tome relating to Sonic's old adventures.

Sonic's Reality Check

Knuckles is sent to the real Earth and is turned into a human because of it, although he loses his memory while doing so, like the rest. He is considerably more gullible and idiotic, and it is revealed by Chapter 11 that he had been hurt many times during the 11 days he had been there. This trait is shared by Chris Thorndyke almost immdiately after his incarnation appears nearly a week later. For more information, see Knuckles The Echinda (Human).

Sonic: War for Mobius

This version of Knuckles is different from his Video game counterpart. In War for Mobius, Knuckles possess a Han Solo like sense of humor and personailty. He spends most of his time cracking up jokes and wanting to fight head on, however he stull retains his seriousness and has high amounts of wisdom and honor. He has been best friends with Sonic since childhood to a point of having a brotherly relationship with the Hedgehog. After the invasion of Mobius, he went back to Angel Island to fulfill his birthright, until 10 years later he and Sonic met again and were more than happy to see each other. He joined the freedom fighters after the Master Emerald was scattered. Like Sonic, he hates Bellum, due to the fact his fleet bombed most of his tribe, but belived that vengence could gain him nothing what so ever.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Seeds of War

Knuckles makes his appearance into the series defending the Master Emerald in the first issue. After easily defeating the Disturbians, he states "It's time to get back to work." turning to the Emerald.

Sonic Underground Remake

The Sonic Underground Remake is a complete remade version of the Sonic Underground series, featuring more of the Freedom Fighters, more of Knuckles, the Chaos Emeralds, and the additions of two game series mixed in this series: Banjo-Kazooie and Conker. However, unlike SU Mini Show, Knuckles along with a few others gain medallions, which were originated from the emeralds themselves! He also has to deal with a mysterious group called the Dark Legion along with suspicion on the recently joined Fiona Fox.

Sonic X Remake

The Sonic X Remake is a remake of the Sonic X series with better storyline, plot elements, and many differences along with not only another Rare collaboration with Banjo-Kazooie and Conker, but with elements of all Sonic universes. (aka games, shows, comics, etc.)

Sonic Fanon Party

In this game, Knuckles is a non-playable character. He is found in Shawn's Junkyard, and is accused of stealing Lumina's car keys.

Sonic Y

The show that features Knuckles adopting the little girl he cared for when she was little. Her name is Sage the Hedgehog. He knows her real parents, but hasn't told her. It turns out that Sonic the Hedgehog is her father. Her mother is unknown.

BearfootTruck's Universe

Episode #10

Knuckles' and Rouge's future daughter, April the Batinda, steps out of a portal from the future. When Breanna the Cat explains that they came because most people were falling in love with the wrong person, and they had to set them straight. Knuckles is the most obvious of this, because he states, "You're Rouge's daughter? Not Hawkshadow?" (that's basically what he said, anyways).

Episode #11

Knuckles is apparently cheating on Rouge with Hawkshadow. They're presumably making out in another room while the other SS members tape it for our wonderful friends at home!

Sonic X: Twisted Remake

In this twisted remake of the show, he has been revamped along with the other characters. He is practically the same as in many incarnations, but is as foul-mouthed as his Terrible Luck counterpart. He will often have "take that" moments with things he says.

Ultimate Sonic

Knuckles is planned to be one of the three playable characters in Ultimate Sonic. Like Sonic, some of his stages may be about reaching the goal while the majority are treasure hunting stages where he must find three crystals or keys to complete the stage. He has a Boost Gauge (simular to the meter of Sonic's boost) which allows him to string combo's of homing punches together or reside to a weaker 3-punch combo until his meter is replenished.

In Ultimate Sonic, the Master Emerald has lost it's power and Angel Island has landed in the mountains. While finding a way to restore power to the Master Emerald he has found shards of glass giving off light. Tikal says they are crystalised energy from the Special Zone and that if Knuckles find plenty, can restore the power of the Master Emerald.

The gameplay purpose of these crystals are the same as the Master Emerald pieces in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. Knuckles has to "find 3 crystals" in order to complete the stage. The crystals themselves being based after the crystaline structure of Sonic 1 Special Stages.

Sonic Adventure 3 (also known as SA3) is a fan-made Sega game available for the GameCube. It is the VERY FIRST (and probably last) of the Sonic games to be based upon the Sonic Archie comics (character and level-wise, at least). It follows the different story mechanisms of Sonic Adventure 2 (Team Hero and Team Dark).

Sonic and the Knights of Avalon

Knuckles takes the role of Sir Gawain in this game. He has turned against Lancelot, and is the first turned knight to be fought by Sonic, wielding the Galatine blades. His Soul Surge attack, Gail Meteor, involves him throwing his swords like boomerangs at his opponents.

With his final sword, Glas Heula, he slashes with fire if he reaches the infinity slash at the end of his combo. He also rushes to his blade after throwing it during Gail Meteor.

Sonic and the Prince of Thieves

Knuckles returns as Sir Gawain, where he has a huge distrust from Robin Hook (Nack) at first.

Sonic and the Head Vampire

Knuckles takes the role of one of the suitors for Lucy (Amy Rose), Arthur Holmwood. In it, he along with Jonathan (Nack) are tricked by M (Don Weazo) into stealing the plans from Captain Nemo's (Blaze) ship at one point. He has some difficulty listening to others at first as well. Arthur Holmwood and Knuckles are both unlocked in multiplayer mode.

Sonic & Eggman: Dynamic Duo

In Sonic & Eggman: Dynamic Duo, as a past enemy to Sonic, Knuckles believes that it is a real birthday party. He is pictured wearing a birthday hat and holding a birthday cake with 15 candles on it (acoording to Sonic's current age).

Knuckles and the Island Treasure

Knuckles gets sucked into the world of Treasure Island and must team up with Jim Hawkins to defeat Long John Silver and his crew and claim the treasure from the dangerous island.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Night of Shadows

Besides the ending, Knuckles is seen in this game only as Deadlock the Echidna, one of the minions of Nightmare. Deadlock is first seen at Glacian Resort, where he (although not directly stated) kidnaps Amy. Sonic meets him and fights him, where he is vicious and violent yet mute; the only sounds he makes are grunts and battle cries reminiscent of a wolf. Deadlock is also seen searching for Tails with Rosecut and approaching Glacian in search of Tails (where Sonic gets him a soda), to name just a couple. Deadlock is seen continually throughout the story. He is fought alongside Rosecut after passing the underground river of lava, and alongside the rest of Nightmare's minions in the ringless brawl. In the latter, he is at once the most useful and dangerous opponent there, as his wild punches can be used to harm his comrades, but have almost Werehog-like range.

Up- Flaming Uppercut- Knuckles uppercuts in the air, and deals flame damage.

Left- Guardian Throw- Knuckles takes a stance, and if he is attacked while in this stance, he counters the attack and throws the player aside.

Down- Dig- Knuckles digs into the ground and travels underground until he is beneth the opponent. Then, Knuckles grabs the opponents' legs and drags him/her beneth the ground, does an unseen 14 hit combo, then launches the player out of the ground, and pops out of the ground as well.

Ultimate- Gaurdian Impact- Knuckles punches his opponent high into the air. Then, grabs a boulder, jumps into the air after his opponent, then slams the boulder down onto the opponent, sending them back down the the ground.

The Chronicles of Sonic the Hedgehog: Rise of the Heroes

Knuckles appears as a starter Power-Type character. In the Story of the game, he appears alongside Shade. The two first appear in Angel Island battling the Gravitus in order to protect the Master Emerald. Later, Knuckles teams up with Sonic and co. to free his Echidna Tribe from the Gravitus' captivity and save the world.
