These are Mobians from anyone's continuity.

Mobians are the inhabitants of the planet Mobius from various Sonic the Hedgehog continuities. They consist mainly of anthropomorphic animals. Like humans, they have five fingers and toes. In reality, however, these numbers often vary (for example, Lupe the Wolf and Rosemary Prower are seen to have three toes, which seems to be an aspect of Mobian anatomy that many others adopt as well).

Mobians could also be considered anyone who lives on mobius which are humans,overlanders, and mobians.

The animal mobians are animals who evolved and whose DNA is very much like that of humans. After the xorda bombed a alternate earth (the now day Mobius) thousands of years ago with a gene bomb made to iradicate all human life. But an unknown side effect made the humans de-evolve into overlanders. While some humans survived and remained normal people. Overlanders became aggresive towards their mobian and human bretheran. Some from a different humans were sucked into a wormhole that the bomb created because of it's power. To this day mostly humans and mobians live together because the overlanders are way to dangerous towards the two. Overlanders went through various wars against the two because of their behavoir.

To simply put, Sonic, his friends, fan characters and all the other anthromorphic animals in the games and on Earth, as a race are called "Mobians". Despite fan-projects being set on SegaSonic without the planet Mobius. The species name use is purely fanon and for conveniance to identify the actual animals that are native to Earth and the characters that Sonic and his friends are.

While the name of the anthropomorphic animal race Sonic and his friends are a part of have never been officially named in the games, Sonic's world does indeed have humans and animals (such as the human Dr. Eggman and the little animals that he uses to power his robots). Sonic's race consist of a large variety of humanoid animals that are native to Earth (Sonic's world) and co-exist with humans of his world.

While the individual will still identify themselves as what animal they are, as a race they are known as Mobians to simply identify them from the regular animals (and furries).

Sonic Avatar is a virtual avatar program simular to the Xbox 360's Avatars in which you can design your own Sonic fan characters to represents you in selected Sonic fan games. These avatars will be called "Mobians".

They are the main characters in Sonic World. The clothing and accessories in the game can be used to further decorate your mobian, in the game they can raise chao and develop skills.
