Monkey Khan began life as a Mobian called Ken...until the original Doctor Robotnik came along and captured him for experimentation. While a success, he was deemed too powerful and imprisoned in a pod for ten years. When Robotnik was destroyed, Sally accidentally found the pod and opened it, releasing Monkey Khan once more on the world.

In recent times, Khan was hailed as a King. He seems to still be interested in Princess Sally. He is friends with Shock the Enchidna. He made a spike ball called Monkey Spike. He defeated the Iron Queen with the Monkey Spike. The Iron Queen took control of him and told him to kill Mary the Raccoon. He found Buster Prower and fought him for Queen Mary. Buster Prower beat him and he snapped out of the spell.

In the Banzai the Monkey continuity, he lives with Banzai in the Dragon Kingdom, which is located in Chun-nan. Here he lives and trains with him and protects the continent. He acts as Banzai's mentor and best friend. He is also enemies with Chimera the forsaken in this continuity.

a few years later he had the son rik the spidermonkey that soon ran away from him for his needs to fight.

In Erin's future continuity, he is happily married to Sally Acorn and has 2 daughters, Katara and Candy. He trains Katara in combat, and has taught her techniques that he used at her age.
