My Sweet Life: Escape From the Paparazzi (Japanese: 私の甘い人生は：パパラッチからの脱出します Watashi no amai jinsei wa: Paparatchi kara no dasshutsu shimasu)is a fan game created by Darkest Shadow. It is an action-packed adventure game which was published by DarkAngel Productions. It is the first game that is based off of the rebooted Mariala Anime series, "My Sweet Life ".
Story[]
Beginning[]
The story revolves around The Eight Mates. It was a normal day at the Mariala Shore, where they hang out at the beach all day long. Alexis and Krys were playing volleyball. David, Thresh and Ricardo were playing water football in the ocean. Christina, Michelle and Krys were beach tumbling. They grab a bit to eat from the deli, eat in around 30 seconds, and then lie down on their beach towels.
When Alexis's eyes widen, a group of about 20-30 little girls start to scream. The seven others are alarmed and waken up by the scream. The girls were screaming "Alexis! Alexis! Alexis!". She tries to shut them up, bit then more people come. Hundreds of more people. Those hundreds turned into thousands. A roaring sea of fans circle them and the eight start to run. Then flashing lights of paparazzi came to take pictures of all of them. The mob of fans grew bigger as the eight of them ran faster away from them.
The eight decided that they had to split up. Meanwhile, the fans got tired of chasing them, however, the paparazzi weren't. The eight of them end up hundreds of miles away. Being teens, they tried using their cellphones to call each other;no signal. They are lost, far away. They have no idea where they are. They must fight off the paparazzi and reunite.

Gameplay[]
The gameplay is basically like most action-adventure games. There are action stages scattered throughout the game. In an action stage, one player must be sent out to collect diamonds, defeat enemies, and destroy the press. The main goal of nearly all of the missions is to escape from the press and paparazzi and not cause too much attention. If they catch you, you will be dragged into their arms and you lose a life. There are a total of 4 default lives per stage. The player will know that they reached the end of the level by looking at a bunch of rainbow sparks emitting everywhere. Your final score depends on the amount of enemies you defeat, the diamonds you collect and the paparazzi you destroy.
There are also a few hub worlds for your character to travel through. In the hub world, characters can interact and chat with other characters in the game for advice, mini-missions, and hints. They could also go shopping to buy accessories to help out in the future levels. The prices range is different depending on how helpful the object is. The playable character can also take pictures or selfies there to save to their Wii U or 3DS Photo Gallery.

Modes[]
Story Mode[]
Story Mode is the main mode of the game. There are a total of nine stories;eight of them for each of the Eight Mates, and the last chapter, which can be unlocked when every story is completed. Each story is different and unique in it's own way. While some are super easy, like Alyssa, some are really hard, like Thresh.
Two Player Mode[]
Two Player is a secondary mode of the game. It can be single player, and multiplayer. Not only are there the Eight Mates to choose from, but you can unlock a few characters. In this mode, the first player chooses a character, and so does the second player.
Chao Garden[]
Chao Garden is another mode of the game. Choose one of the Eight Mates, to go into the Chao Lobby. There are now five gardens:Neutral, Hero, Angel, Dark and Devil. Those four can be unlocked by evolving chao. The player can also buy new chao eggs to grow their garden from the Black market.
