This story will be updated about every week or so. Surprise romance in some chapters, mostly adventure.
Overview[]
You've probably heard of Sonic the Hedgehog and how he saved Mobius countless times. Something you probably didn't know is that he only saved a portion of Mobius. The other part was ruled by an evil dictator, Mephiles the Dark. This is the story of the unsung heroes, or should I say anti-heroes, that really saved Mobius from destruction.
Included Characters[]
Shadow- A black and red hedgehog created by Dr. Gerald Robotnik. Even though he hates humanity for killing his closest friend, Maria, he will do anything to protect his friends.
Blaze- A purple cat and the former princess of the alternate dimension, she was overthrown by Iblis and sent to the present along with Silver.
Knuckles- A red echidna with large knuckles and a huge temper. He was forced away from his home and family after an attack on Angel Island, but he reunited with his sister years later.
Lunas- A black echidna who was driven insane from memory-erasing gases. She is very stubborn, hyper and tomboyish. Only two of her family members are alive: her sister ran off with Sonic, but Knuckles is still with her. (Note: I made her page on another wiki. The link is here: [1]
Mephiles- A creature turned into a hedgehog by absorbing Shadow's shadow. He has few goals, except to take over the world and destroy it. (There will be more characters, but most are small parts and I don't want to ruin the story by telling you the major parts.)
Chapter 1[]
There exists a planet in another universe called Mobius, a world filled with human-like animals, the most famous of which is most likely Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic saved most of Mobius from destruction. MOST of it. The rest was ruled by Mephiles the Dark, an evil dictator who loved to see the sadness and anger of others. It was a dark place, the sun rarely shined, and the air was pretty polluted from Mephiles's smog-spewing robot factories. The water was so bad, it was unsafe to travel through, making the citizens unable to escape. Mephiles's robots were always at work, killing and destroying everything and everyone in sight. The forests were still there, but filled with poison springs and barbed wire. It seemed like there was only one place to escape the misery: a black market hidden under a dock in the harbor.
Shadow, Knuckles, Blaze, and Lunas sat in the tavern area and ordered drinks. They were regular customers and helped steal the few imports from the harbor for the black market.
"I'll have a root beer, I guess..." Blaze handed a few rings to Jeff, the dark chao that ran the tavern.
"Aren't you a little young to be drinking that, miss Blaze?" Jeff asked.
"ROOT beer! I said ROOT beer!" Blaze facepalmed. Chao didn't have the best hearing.
Everyone else ordered their drinks and payed. "Thank you very much for your help. It's hard to live in a place like this, isn't it?" Jeff said.
"I wish we could do something about it..." Lunas wiped the cream soda on her muzzle with the back of her hand.
"Lunas… Do you know what napkins are for?" Shadow handed her a napkin.
"Of course I do!" Lunas folded an origami hat and put it on her head. Shadow slammed his head on the table.
When they left, they thought about the conversation about how they wanted to stop Mephiles. Although nobody said it out loud, they all thought the same thing: they had to to something, no matter how hard or painful it may be.
