Sonic Generations 2 is a new chapter of saga. Classic characters back and modern characters are a new adventure.
Story[]
Modern Sonic decides to go back to Green Hill and see how it is on your time. In the past, the classic Sonic is in the same place, and both Sonics are, they ask why this happened and realize that everything is turning white again. Sonic's friends are sucked into new portals of time, and the two Sonics go together, and end up falling again at White Space, they must defeat the Time Eater again and restore time.

Minigames Multiplayer[]
In multiplayer can play up to four players in two ways:
Modern Games:
Racing = This game is a race between players in any stage of the game.
Wisp Goal(Four players only) = This game is cooperative, each player receives the power of a wisp, chosen randomly by COM. The wisps are: Cyan Lazer, Pink Spikes, Orange Rocket and Blue Cube. The goal is this: the player with the wisp must meet a stated objective to clear the way for other players. Playable in Sweet Montain and Planet Wisp(Sonic Generations 1)
Rival Battles(Two players only) = A battle between two players in these stages: Ice Cap Rink, Canyon Battle and Windmill Plaza.
Twinkle Battle Race = A race in bumper-carts of Twinkle Park. Whoever makes it to the end of the circuit wins. Are three circuits: Twinkle Space(Track full of corkscrews, big descents and ascents), Twinkle Basic(Lane basic for beginners, with small tracks straight and curved) and Battle Racing(A very narrow lane, in which players have to hit each other with the cart, to enter the right path)
Classic Games:
Rival Battles(Two players only) = A battle between two players in these stages: Ice Cap Rink, Canyon Battle and Windmill Plaza.
Racing = This game is a race between players in any stage of the game.
Ice Snowboard = A racing in the snowboard of Ice Cap.
Spring Yard Party = The players are hitting the balls with stars of Spring Yard, the blue gives 10 points, 25 points gives a yellow and red gives 50 points, who reach the end of the level with the most points wins.
