System Voice
Edit
Just like in most other fighting games, the System Voice refers to the disembodied voice that calls out during matches the game, acting like a referee or an announcer during a real-life sport.
The System Voice is limited to a handful of sayings: "Round ___, let the action begin! Go!"/"Round ___! Ready? GO!", which starts the fight; "KO," which is shouted at the end of a round when someone loses; "Winner," and "You Lose," if the player loses. If a fighter manages to defeat their foe without taking damage, the voice will cheer "Great" or "Perfect" if the player wins without taking damage more than once.
Blood Warrior features a total of 85 voices: Eggman, Omochao, and Scratch are available from the start, but the player can unlock the voices of every playable character by completing the respected fighter's exercise during Sparring Mode. Upon completing every exercise, the voices of Metal Sonic and Skarlet will also be unlocked. Additionally, the voice Jaleel, voiced by Jaleel White, can also be unlocked by fighting either Sonic, Steve, Sonia or Manic in Arcade, Random, Ranking or Sparring Modes.
Story
Edit
After the events of Sonic returning home, Dr. Robotnik used leftover residew from the Time Eater to transport his clone and Mobius to the older, darker ages, when there was a tournament that was banned for years. Dubbed,"Mobius Kombat." This will also affect his enemies attitude, which may cause some of them to be evil. He joins forces with them later on. A few weeks later, a severely weakened Jules is about to be killed by the mad scientist, but casts a last-minute spell on his now shattered magical amulet, directing it to contact his past self with the vague message "He must win."
During the events of the first tournament hosted by Shadow a few weeks ago, the past version of Jules sees visions of the future courtesy of a now cracked amulet. Jules comes to the conclusion that his son Sonic is to win the tournament and save Mobius from the Eggman's forces once again. Although the Fastest Thing Alive succeeds, Jules' amulet continues to deteriorate, a sign that future events remain unchanged. Disappointed with his latest defeat, Robotnik orders Shadow's execution, but relents when the black hedgehog suggests holding the second tournament. Jules attempts to change the timeline by substituting Sonic for another. Eggman, however, kills Knuckles in combat, with Sonic retaliating and mortally wounding the villain. Jules notes the timeline is still unaffected as his amulet continues to deteriorate.
Healed by the sorcerer Silver the Hedgehog, Eggman enters into an alliance with him and invades Mobius. Together with fighters such as Rouge the Bat, Fang the Sniper, and Sonia the Hedgehog, the House of Hedgehog attempts to stop Robotnik, although many of their allies are murdered by Robotnik's first ever genetic creation, Skarlet the Hedgehog. Tails, however, sacrifices himself to kill Skarlet, much to Metal Sonic's despair. Jules confronts Silver, and learning of the alliance with Eggman, realizes that the message "He must win" refers to Robotnik himself — if he is allowed to win, he will be punished by the Source of All for a violation of the sacred code for taking Mobius without winning the tournament. Sonic blames Robotnik for the death of their allies and attacks him. In an attempt to change the future, Jules accidentally kills his own son. Grief-stricken, Jules "surrenders" to Robotnik. The Source intervenes, restoring his strength which he in turn uses to defeat and punish Eggman for breaking the code. After killing Eggman, time was restored, and his dead friends and family was resurected. Including the buildings. They then realize that the Eggman that he killed was a clone, and the real one was out there somewhere.
