Hello, everyone. Today, I am going to give my observations on my all-time favorite fictional villain: Everyone's favorite robot doppelganger, Metal Sonic.

First, a bit of history, for those of you who might not know who he is. Though, this being the Sonic News Network, that's not likely to be a problem... I'll say it all anyway.

Metal Sonic is a character introduced to the Sonic the Hedgehog universe in 1993 by way of a classic Sega CD video game called Sonic CD. Okay, so recently I've gotten into computer art. Right now, as I write this, I'm trying to draw one of the characters in the Jezz of Time fiction.

There's one problem, the program I use is GIMP, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't have a tool for making circles, or even elipses. However, I mostly prefer this over Microsoft Paint because it allows for a transparent background, and I know for sure that it's transparent. Is there anything I can do about this? Is there a program out there that has the best of both worlds, as it were?

For the uninformed, SRB2 refers to Sonic Robo Blast 2. It is a fan-made game developed by a group called Sonic Team Junior. It is built on a modified Doom Engine, and mostly plays like a real Sonic game, barring the lack of real slopes and loops. The game takes elements from the Adventure, Classic, and Modern Eras, with momentum-based gameplay returning, along with transitions between Adventure-style 3D gameplay and Classic-style 2D gameplay. OK, so I decided to work on drawing Sonic characters again, after a few months of inactivity from drawing anything at all (took a break from that to do that map of Aerolatus for Kagimizu). This is what I came up with.

Now, keep in mind, I'm not very good at drawing Sonic characters. Nowhere near as good as a good number of artists here. Heck, their work just blows mine right out of the water!

So, I want you guys to have a look at this picture I drew. Is there anything I should focus on improving? Do you have any tips on how to improve? Any "how-to's" with pictures I could follow?
