• Takes a deep breath, lets it out* Okay...I was in kindergarten and I was 5 years-old. My Mom had started...drinking again, and she was like a confused mess. Sometimes, if I tried to talk at her while she was like this, she would start yelling at me, and would occasionally slap or hit me. I don't think she starved me, but something about what she did caused me to stop eating and I developed an eating disorder of some sort. Around March, people noticed how pale and underweight I had gotten. My eyes were very sunken and black, like each were bruised, and my hair had become a darker color. My Dad says that one night, I started shaking and vomiting in my sleep, and I got sent to the hospital. He says I was suffering Shock, but I think it was Malnutrition. During one of my days there, this blanket arrived from Washington, where my Aunt lives. I slept with it all the time until I got better. Someone who I thought was my "best friend" hurt me so much with her words. She thinks I constantly complain and that I only think about myself. • Miserable because my parents are pressuring me to be perfect and get straight A's at school, even though I'm still in mourning and I have a learning disorder.
