Sonic Genesis is a 2D Action/Adventure Platforming Fan Game and the first installment in the series. The game focuses on the events that happens after The first Role-Play in Julia's continuity and will include 2 different Stories, one for Dr. Finitevus (Post-Genesis Wave) and his Genesis Freedom Fighters as the battle the Genesis Lord and his minions as they attempt to destroy Mobius Prime, While the other includes Ion the Hedgehog (Post-Genesis Wave), the Freedom Fighters, Shadow, Silver, and Gold as they take on Eggman and the Council of Onix City on their conquest to rule time and space. Both stories will end up joining in the last parts of the game's story.
Gameplay[]
The game plays similar to a old fan game called Sonic FGX but with Smoother Gameplay and new mechanics.
Wall Jumping[]
Wall Jumping Returns for Speed Type Characters which can access areas you could not reach with just jumping.
Parkour[]
Parkour is portrayed Similar to Sonic Lost World and is exclusive to Speed Type Characters, you can run up walls and climb ledges, you can also do Ledge Jumping which is useful in sticky situations and allows Speed Types to Do a Homing Attack after preforming a Ledge Jump.
Combat[]
Power Types Can do Legit Combat, How it works is quite different then a typical Beat'em Up. Combos are done with 3 attack Commands: Standard, Heavy, and Special. Standard Attacks are fast Strikes to do quick light damage, Heavy attacks are Slow but Decent allowing you to do Decent Damage, and special is moves unique to each character. this can be Chaos Related, Elemental Related, or even Grabs that can do massive damage but does require Energy to use.
Stat Boosts[]
as you progress in the story there will be tougher enemies with more health and damage, Stats are necessary to defeat stronger foes, to increase you stats you have to use StP (Stat Points) to increase you attack power for each attack type, as well as decrease the damage taken, which can decrease you Ring Loss Count. you can also increase your energy limit and your energy recharge rate.
Currency and Experience[]
There are 2 different currency types, each buys different things.
Rings[]
Rings are really easy to earn, you play through a stage and collect the rings in that stage without losing them. the more rings you collect, the more you bank. these are used to buy Cosmetic costumes. to increase your lives, and to buy "Skills" which give you different perks within each stage and once bought, you have it for the rest of the game.
Red Star Rings[]
These are rings but are earned after leveling up a character. this will allow you to buy combo extensions, Extra Playable Characters, User Boosts which can vary from Double or Triple EXP, Double Rings & Red Star Rings, and unlimited energy (All boosts are temporary and decrease as Game Time passes).
Tools/Weapons[]
Flight Types and Power Types have access to tools which can help them when engaging an enemy, it can vary between EMP Mines, Shock Traps, Attack Drones, Ring Magnets, Etc. and weapons like Swords, Guns and Explosives. Weapons are limited and swords are the most likely choice for Power Types while Flight Types should stick with Guns and Explosives.
Stamina[]
Flight Types have a Stamina Gauge, this drains only when flying and does so quite fast, use it in spots when you know it's needed.

Story[]
Story Mode has 2 Stories each having different characters involved and different Stages to complete.
Dr. Finitevus' Story[]
The plot for Finitevus involves his entire Freedom Fighter Group and himself, fighting a Villain named "The Genesis Lord" as they head out to stop him from destroying Mobius.
Ion's Story[]
The Plot for Ion involves Sonic and his Freedom Fighting friends, Shadow and his team, Silver, and Gold as they stop Eggman of the present and the Onix City Council of Silvers Future and their Goals. although each one has a different Goal, both the Eggman Empire and the Onix City Council work together so they can achieve their goals but in ways that are more for the worst of Mobius than the better.
Final Story[]
This Continues where each story left off and where each Character from Both Sides meet. Eggman and his empire failed on their Plan as the Onix City Council Betrayed them and had been working with the Genesis Lord this entire time, and behind Eggman's back. Eggman had no choice but to join forces with the heroes and Fight the Genesis Lord... but to do so they had to have the Chaos Emeralds. Ion told Eggman to leave it to Him and Finitevus since they both have been fighting against him and his minions for a while. Ion told Finitevus to use the fusion shard that they both have to transform. Finitevus agreed and they both used their Fusion Shards Power to Transform. Ion enters his Purity Form while Finitevus enters his Chaos Form to do battle with the newly Transformed Genesis Lord in his Corrupt Form.
